Sterbai Corydora
The Sterbai Corydoras (Corydoras sterbai) are cherished by aquarists for their striking appearance, peaceful nature, and awesome schooling behavior when kept together in decent numbers. They stay relatively small, typically growing to about 2.5 inches in length, making them suitable for a variety of tank sizes.
To keep Sterbai Corydora, a tank of at least 20 gallons is recommended. They prefer a soft, sandy substrate that mimics their natural environment and prevents injury to their delicate barbels. Ideal water conditions include a temperature range of 72-83°F and a pH of 6.0-7.8.
These fish are omnivorous and enjoy a varied diet. High-quality flake or pellet food, supplemented with live or frozen foods like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia, will ensure they receive balanced nutrition. They also enjoy vegetable matter, such as blanched spinach or zucchini.
