Crystal Red Shrimp are the perfect entry-level shrimp for those looking to get into keeping caridina shrimp species. Their popularity in the hobby is due to their bright, red-and-white "candy cane" patterning that really pops out against the green of a planted aquarium.
Crystal Red Shrimp require acidic water conditioned with a moderate level of hardness. The most bullet-proof way to achieve this is through the use of RO water mixed with a re-mineralizer made specifically for keeping Bee Shrimp. A buffering substrate will also go a long way towards keeping the pH stable and within the appropriate range.
Available shrimp are juveniles of a mixed grade S/A - SS+. They are between 1/2" - 1".
